Account and Settings
Updating your profile
In Settings, you can update your name and email. Changing your email triggers a new verification flow; you may need to sign in again after confirming the new address. Your name is used in the app and, where relevant, in exports or team views.
Changing your password
Use Settings → Security (or the security section) to change your password. You’ll need your current password. Choose a strong, unique password. After changing, you may be signed out on other devices and will need to sign in again with the new password.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
You can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) from the security section. We support TOTP (authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password). After you enable 2FA, you’ll be asked for the one-time code when signing in. Keep your backup codes in a safe place; they let you sign in if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Managing active sessions
In the security or sessions section, you can see active sessions (browser/device and approximate location). You can revoke individual sessions to sign out that device. Revoking all other sessions is useful if you think your account may have been used elsewhere.
Changing your language preference
Clara supports multiple languages for the app interface. Use Settings to choose your preferred language. The help center and marketing site can also be viewed in different languages via the locale selector. Document analysis is available for contracts in various languages; the interface language is independent of the contract language.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from the danger zone (or equivalent) in Settings. Account deletion is permanent: we remove your profile, documents, analyses, and related data from our systems. You may be asked to confirm by password or email. After deletion, you cannot recover the account or data. If you have an active subscription, consider canceling it first (see Billing and Plans).
